From:Dr. Mark Brown Sr., CPA, CLU A concern has been expressed over the new enrollment forms that you received. Please understand that the new enrollment forms were created to ensure that we provide the safest environment possible for our students. We want to be able to continue to provide the safest environment for our students and one way we accomplish this is by ensuring that we exercise sound judgment in obtaining the appropriate information and documentation within the enrollment forms. Our intention with these forms is to protect the very place and people you entrust your student to and we hope that you will understand this intention given the litigious society in which we live. Lastly, said forms are standard procedure for many private institutions. The one form that some were concerned about was the "Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability Agreement." Signing that form does not absolve TTU/TTA of liability whereby TTU/TTA is deemed negligent by a court of law. This would be against public policy.
