Greetings!

We went to great lengths to find you and we encourage you to keep reading as we would like to share with you several exciting developments at Temple Academy that you may not be aware of. After 20 years of exemplary service, Dr. Clayton Hunt and Dan Wadley have left to pursue their careers; Clayton teaching in Kentucky and Dan coaching at McCallie. Dr. Connie Pearson, a well known and respected teacher, professor and administrator is the new Headmaster. She brings a fresh approach and a renewed vision to our school. Caleb Marcum is our new Athletic Director and is the new Director of our Early Learning Center, offering year-round education for 2-5 year olds.

Are you ready for some football? No doubt you heard about the success of our football team in 2006 as they went 12-1, undefeated in the regular season. We have hired Chip Kell as our full time coach and we expect to see our program flourish under his guidance in the years to come. Both our varsity and elementary boys are currently undefeated in basketball and the women are enjoying a winning season. Both are favored in the playoffs. Wrestling is back and we plan to field cross country in the fall. Other sports are being considered as we continue to grow.

Have you heard of our GOT COLLEGE? promotion? For every year one attends the academy beginning in the 7 Th grade and graduates from the academy, they will receive free college tuition of the university, up to a maximum of four years! TTU is currently a nationally accredited university through TRACS and they are currently on track in their pursuit of regional accreditation with SACS at which time all previous graduates would be covered. Many things have changed for the better at the university under the leadership of Dr. Lovett, from Liberty.

We hope you like our new website. We think it's the best one in the city. We are constantly updating it. On the home page is a place to sign up for our newsletter and I encourage you to do so. I also encourage you to go to the athletic section and watch videos of our teams in action. Take the time to also read our Q&A section on the home page. It will probably answer many of your own questions.

We are excited to announce that we have completed the process of transferring our accreditation from TACS (state accreditation) to ACSI(international accreditation) and SACS (regional accreditation). This goes to prove that our school is one of our city’s best choices for Christian education. This allows our future graduates a new level of excellence and will open many new doors for our school and our students.

TTA is a great choice academically, athletically, spiritually and financially when compared to the other choices.

If you have not been on our campus…If you have not been to one of our athletic events…If you have not seen our new Early Learning Center…I encourage you to give Temple another look and come meet with Dr. Pearson and witness first hand what we are talking about. Our new vision includes a renewed commitment to you, our alumni, and a desire to foster an atmosphere of motivation and excellence. We want very much to see more of you coming back and getting involved in your school. The only thing missing right now is you and your family! We are seeking to take our school to the next level on every front and we would like very much for you to be part of helping us get there.
