The Alumni Association needs several people from each graduating class to be their class's representative. The number of representatives for each class is based upon the class size.
The primary purpose of a Class Representative is to communicate to all of their classmates the news and events happening at Temple or with their classmates. If there is an upcoming event, such as homecoming, the Class Representatives will help get the word out. Or if a classmate is in need of prayer, Class Representatives can call their classmates as ask for them their prayers.
Class Representatives will also help with their class's reunion. Organizing a reunion is easier when more people are involved with the planning process. A Class Representative will coordinate with other classmates to help form a reunion planning committee so that their reunion will be an enjoyable one.
Finally, a Class Representative will help in the school's annual Phone-A-Thon drive for the Annual Fund. The alumni have been asked to help provide this "nest egg" for future use in attracting and retaining competent, Christ-led professionals to Temple.
If you have an interest in becoming a representative for your class, please send an e-mail to Rob Eldridge, the school's Alumni Director. |
