Game Summaries, Articles and Stats:

David Brainerd 19, Temple 9
     Temple's offense continues to produce. Unfortunately for the Crusaders, the pitching and defense has not.
     David Brainerd defeated Temple for the second time in a week-span, this time by the score  of 19-9 at Engel Stadium.
 
Silverdale 10, Temple 4
    In the seventh and deciding game of the World Series, er. make that a district game, Silverdale cruised to a 10-4 victory over Temple at Engel Stadium.
    Mitch Beard and Josh Prairie each drove in a run for the homestanding Crusaders.
    The Seahawks plated four runs in the third inning and sixth in the fourth for the six-run win over error prone Temple.
 
Grace 15, Temple 5
     Temple scored the game's first run on a Shay Prescott RBI double in the first, but it was all Grace after that.
     The Golden Eagles forged ahead for good in the third inning and never looked back.
     T.J. Butts went 2-for-3 at the plate in a losing cause.
Temple 11,  Brainerd 10
     Temple earned its first win of the season,  defeating Brainerd  in the first round of the "No Child  Left on Base" Tournament. Josh Reaves had a three-run triple and and RBI double to pace the Crusaders.
     T.J.  Butts earned the win in relief of Shay Prescott. Butts also had a  pair of doubles.
     Temple trailed 10-9 entering the bottom of the fifth inning and loaded the bases with one out. John "Freedom" French was then hit by a  pitch and Caleb Rector drew a walk to cap the rally.
 
Temple 5, Whitwell 4
     Temple nothced its second straight win behind the hitting of Shay Prescott and the pitching of T.J. Butts.
     Prescott hit a solo home run and Butts scattered four hiits over seven innings to earn his second win in as many days.
 
Temple 12, Tyner 9
     Temple extended its winning streak to three games with a three-run win over Tyner in the final game of the No Child Left on Base Tournament.
     Mitch Beard hit a tie-breaking two-run single in the bottom of the fourth to help lift the surging Crusaders.
 
David Brainerd 17, Temple 11
     Temple and David Brainerd met in a baseball game yet a football game broke out. The Wildcats ended up winning the slugfest despite a big day from Nathan Rector, who drove in four runs.
 
Silverdale 7, Temple 6
     Temple staged a late rally but fell one run short at Silverdalee eked out a one-run district win.
     Shay Prescott pitched six strong innings and doubled twice in a losing cause. 
Ridgeland 9-0
Ridgeland 15-0
    Temple opened the season by suffering a doubleheader sweep at Ridgeland.
    Nathan Pendergrass had two hits for the Crusaders.
Grace 11, Temple 2
    Temple dropped to 0-3 despite a two-run home run from Shea Prescott.
Lookout Valley 17, Temple 2
Lookout Valley 18, Temple 1
    T.J. Butts reached base three times and also made a sensational diving catch in the gap in left-centerfield in a losing cause.
    Lookout Valley cruised in the first game and then broke open a 1-1 tie with a 17-run inning in the second game.
    Temple, which has already had several games rained out this season, dropped to 0-5.
Copper Basin 6, Temple 5
    During football season, Temple traveled to Copper Basin and escaped with a narrow victory. The Crusaders also swept Copper Basin in basketball.
    Copper Basin kept Temple from making a clean sweep by defeating the Crusaders in baseball.
    Josh Reaves, an all-District performer last season, had two hits and pitched six solid innings in a losing effort.
