Crusader Club Meeting Monday January 15th. at 6:00 pm
Monday January 15th at 6 pm will be the first official Crusader Club meeting which will be held at the coffee shop. It is very important for you to plan to attend. This club will have a major impact on shaping and taking our athletics to the next level and the decisions made by this entity will affect all those who play athletics at TTA. We will be electing our leaders for the rest of this year through 2008. We will be excepting nominations for all positions. Due to circumstances, Don Morris will not be serving as the president as originally announced. He will stay involved but wishes to serve in another capacity which will be invaluable to our athletic program. The following are the elected positions: President, VP, Sec, Treasurer and the much needed appointed standing committee positions: Sponsorship/Apparel, Gate/Concessions, Facilities and Membership/Banquets. If you would like to nominate someone or yourself, please send me an email. All nominees must be approved by the Headmaster. We are looking for passionate people who see the need for change in order to improve. We need leaders who will put aside personal politics and will support the new direction of the administration and act on the behalf of the academy. We believe that by organizing ourselves with structure, we will be more efficient and effective. We will need many more people to step up and assume “official” leadership roles in order to accomplish what we need to take our athletic program to the next level. Among other things, this entity will be creating and adopting a philosophy of athletics for TTA, restructuring the athletic fees and gate fees, creating a sponsorship/fundraising program for all sports, creating a viable parent volunteer schedule and looking at enhancing the programs we have and adding new sports. We have created by-laws and begun on a philosophy statement which we will unveil at the meeting.
