Tennessee Temple Academy Achieves SACS Accreditation

Tennessee Temple Academy has just received official notification that the Academy has achieved accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
After many years of being accredited with the Tennessee Association of Christian Schools (TACS), the decision was made in the fall 2006 to seek accreditation with organizations that have wider visibility and acceptance. It was then discovered that the Academy’s accreditation could be transferred from TACS to the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and to SACS.
The Academy received accreditation with ACSI in December 2006 and has just received notification from Dr. Judy Flatt, the Associate Executive Director for Non-Public and Special Purpose Schools of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), of their approval.
“Although Tennessee Temple Academy has consistently provided quality Christian education, accreditation with these bodies validates that quality and brings credibility and visibility to the school,” said Headmaster Dr. Connie Pearson.
Tennessee Temple Academy has an Early Learning Center, for ages two through kindergarten, located at the corner of Vance and Willow Streets; and the Upper and Lower Schools for grades 1-12 at their three-story facility at the corner of Bailey and Hawthorne Avenues, in historic Highland Park.
