Senior Class Newsletter
September 9, 2008
Dear Parents,
Senior trips usually range between eight hundred to one thousand dollars per student, plus spending money. Most of you are aware that we have started fund raising for the senior trip that is coming up in the spring. Several Fridays are designated for seniors to sell lunch to the students. A car wash is scheduled, and local restaurants are working with us to provide activities. Results will depend upon your child’s participating in the activities. For example, if the class sells pizza, students invest five dollars for the pizzas and sell them for eight dollars making a three-dollar profit, likewise with snacks and sodas. Mrs. Dyer will maintain a ledger to assure proper accounting for those who participate.
We strongly recommend that you send in seventy five to one hundred dollars a month to be credited toward your child’s trip. This approach will ease the strain of a one-time contribution. If you have questions, contact either the senior sponsor Mr. Cook, or me.
In mid-October we will be scheduling a senior retreat to Gatlinburg. When plan are finalized, we will contact you.
Serving Him,
William Basham, Principal
