| Our Elementary Boys team has had an outstanding season. We have the No. 1 seed in the "A-bracket" and we're scheduled to play Friday night at 5:15 p.m. at Grace Academy. The Elementary Girls has had a good season as well and due to their strong season finish, they have placed as the No. 2 seed in the "B-bracket"! The Girls play on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Senter School. Please come out and support both the Boys and the Girls teams during this exciting post season tournament! |

Defensive Player of the game: Seth did not have the numbers to show up on his stats, but it was his great effort in our Defensive press and his hustle to help set up our Defense that gets him the "Defensive" player nod against Grace! |

Scrapper of the game: Jacqueze was needed to step up big in this game against a great Grace team and step up he did! He was the second leading scorer for Temple with a total of 13 points and he had 2 assists and 2 rebounds. It was also his hustle on Defense that created numerous Grace turnovers that resulted in "Eze" points for the Crusader's! |

Christian Character Players of the game: The guys who did not get to see playing time in this hard fought game still came through in a big way by continuing to encourage the guys on the court and maintaining good Christian character against a hostile crowd. |
Impressive Play of the game: Josh and Ryan came through in a big way. Although they didn't have stats on the stat sheet, it was their Impressive high pressure play when Jacqueze and Seth took a much needed breather that kept the Grace team on their heels! |

Game Summary: What a great way to put a big exclamation point on a fabulous regular season! 20 and 0 says it all! No matter what happens in the post season tournament, these boy\' unbeaten regular season record this year is a wonderful testimony to a bright future for Temple basketball. Go Crusaders Go! |

Defensive Player of the game: LaDaris and Davey both had a tall order in taking turns in trying to play defense on a much taller Senter center! And they both came up big. LaDaris had 7 rebounds and Davey had 4. Between Donovan, LaDaris, and Davey, these three guys brought down a total of 22 rebounds! Way to keep the boards clean guys. |

Scrapper of the game: "Eze" did not necessarily have an easy game, but he stepped up big and scrapped his way into the second leading scorer category with a total of 10 points! |

Christian Character Players of the game: Samuel saw some good playing time against Senter. He always displays good Christian character whether he\'s on the floor or not. Good job Samuel. |

Offensive Player of the game: Derek played his best game of the season! He had several big plays on both ends of the court and rose to the occasion to become the high scorer of the game with 10 points. |

Defensive Player of the game: LaDaris was second in scoring with a total of 9 points, but it was his presence on the Defensive end of the court that shut down St. Peter\'s Offense. He led all players with a total of 6 rebounds! |

Scrapper of the game: Seth led the way in the Assist category with a total of 6 assists! It was his all out effort that helped seal the Temple victory. |

Christian Character Players of the game: Aaron always displays good Christian character both in practise and during games. He stepped up big in this particular game and came away with an impressive line: 2 points and 4 rebounds! |

Impressive Play of the game: Jordan (our only current 4th grader) stepped up and had a "Most Impressive" game with a great stat line: 4 points, 1 assist, and 5 rebounds! |

Game Summary: Our great players who normally do not get to see a whole lot of game time minutes, stepped up big in this game and put up some impressive overall numbers for Temple! We had a total of 10 players that made the stat sheet, which proves teamwork wins games! There were several players that made great plays and could have been named in one of the "Best Of" categories, but unfortunately we can only name 5. However, each player that took the court tonight played a great game in paving the way to an 18 - 0 record! |

Offensive Player of the game: This was just that type of game where Donovan had to step up and take on the responsibilty of scoring. It was a good thing he was on, because his 21 points was what helped us to seal the victory! Donovan had a great game against a talented Lookout Valley team. |

Defensive Player of the game: Davey had to defend a couple of taller Lookout Valley players down in the paint and he worked hard to establish position and bring down numerous important rebounds. |

Scrapper of the game: Seth played a great game once again against a tallented opponent. He worked hard on both ends of the court and helped to set up our Offensive plays. |

Christian Character Players of the game: Although he was sick, LaDaris insisted on playing in this important game. Lookout Valley has several taller players, but LaDaris overlooked his illness and played big down in the paint to prohibit their big men from scoring. |

Impressive Play of the game: After a Defensive rebound, Donovan turned and found Jacqueze racing up the court. Donovan threw a full-court pass, Jacqueze caught up to it and established control just quick enough to put in the lay-up before the defense could catch him. |

Game Summary: Lookout Valley proved to be a very good basketball team. This all 6th grade team has several talented players and gave our boys all they wanted on the court! Donovan stepped up big on the Offensive end and scored a game high of 21 points. We had several players sick, but our team rallied together and pulled off a great victory sending us to an overall record of 18 and 0! |

Christian Character Players of the game: Bobby had a great all around game. He hustled to always get in position and he registered a total of 2 rebounds & he scored. Most importantly he played despite not feeling to well and with the right attitude! |
Impressive Play of the game: During one of Temple's possessions, one of our players shot and missed. Gavin (one of the smallest guys on the court) out rebounded everyone and passed the ball back out to the point guard to reset the play! Great play Gavin. |

Game Summary: Once again, an impressive game played by the Elementary Boys. We had a total of 7 players that scored and 9 players that made the stats list! Coach Jones is working hard to get playing time for all 14 players and the game time experience is paying off! We have one more Away game and then we prepare for a 5 game homestand before cruising into the Tournament. Temple rolls to a 16 and 0 record! |

Christian Character Players of the game: Davey was all over the court! Playing strong on Defense (bringing down 6 rebounds!) and hustling to get into position on Offense. His unselfish, high octane game play resulted in Davey getting injured late in the game, but he maintained good Christian spirit and cheered on his teammates the rest of the way! |

Impressive Play of the game: Wow! Words cannot express Donovan's game play. If you weren't there you missed it. It's too hard to nail down just one specific Impressive Play, so I have to say that Donovan's overall game tonight was "Most Impressive". |

Game Summary: Wow! I do not know if I can handle another nail-biter like these last two games against McCallie. Incredible! We actually have had 4 games against McCallie. The first game on each occasion was held between our players who don't get a whole lot of playing time against McCallie's players who don't get a whole lot of playing time. In the first meeting (12-11-06) the game was very one-sided. Our 4th & 5th graders did all they could against a much taller 6th grade team and got beat by 20 points. However... Tonight, even though the result was a loss, the margin of victory was cut down to only 13! This shows great improvement by our younger guys and Coach Jones is so proud of them. Good job! And as for the second game on both dates (Dec. 11th,2006 & Jan. 11th,2007) which featured our starting players against their starting players...all I can say is, AWESOME! We've got a great group of players (all 14 of them) and I am privileged to have the opportunity to work with all of them! Go Saders! |

Defensive Player of the game: Seth scored 4 points and had 3 assists and 2 steals. A great all-around game. He gets the Defensive Player of this game because of his leadership ability to set up the Temple Defense which caused trouble for the opposing team. |

Scrapper of the game: Derek gave 110% on both ends of the court. Always hustling to get into position and do his part to help the team! Derek scored and worked hard to bring down Offensive & Defensive rebounds. |

Christian Character Players of the game: Donovan, Jacqueze, LaDaris, Davey, & Seth all displayed good Christian character through their willingness to give other players on the team valuable minutes and did not complain to the coach for having to do so. Good teamwork guys! |
Impressive Play of the game: Gavin (short in stature, but big in heart and energy!) out rebounded several taller players during one play, then went back up for the shot & was fouled. Gavin\'s hustle resulted in him going to the line to shoot for two! |

Game Summary: Once again, Temple's Elementary Boys gave a great TEAM effort against Oakwood. A total of 10 boys scored; we had a combined 18 assists; and a grand total of 35 rebounds! The starting five set the pace early in the game and then stepped aside to allow their teammates the opportunity to get valuable playing time. A great display of teamwork came through on both ends of the court and Temple continues their perfect record. 13-0! |

More importantly though, both players gave great Defensive hustle in their positions which resulted in numerous rebounds for LaDaris and several Defensive steals for Josh. Great game guys! |

Game Summary: This game proved to be a great overall team effort. A coach could not ask for more! All thirteen players saw significant playing time and all thirteen players posted a great list of stats! But the stat that stands out the most to Coach Jones is the "Assist" category. A team total of 34 assists! Wow. Great teamwork guys. Temple Elementary Boys work together to produce a 12 - 0 record. |

Offensive Player of the game: Jacqueze had back to back 20 plus point games! He was very crucial to this win over Grace with his unique ability to break the full court press and create points or assists to his teammates. |

He has maintained good character throughout the month of December in supporting of his team and his comeback couldn\'t have come at a better time. A player on the opposing team was name calling to a particular Temple player during the game, to which Donovan overheard. He calmly advised the opposing player that there was to be no name calling during the game. He maintained his composure and displayed good character by backing up his teammate! |

As they both neared the basketball goal, both players jumped into the air. Jacqueze looked as if he was going to comlete a lay-up, but instead he passed over to Donovan for the alley-oop lay-up! Nice play guys. |

Impressive Play of the game: Samuel, Philip, & Gavin are all three new to the Elementary team this year and from the beginning they were not strong in their fundamental skills. However, these three young men have been working hard in practice and have come a long way! The entire bench exploded with excitement last night as these young men scored their first baskets of the season. Good job guys! |

Impressive Play of the game: Yes, Donovan scored a career high 20 points, but it was his last three points that receives the Most Impressive Play selection! As the clock was winding down at the end of the game, Temple was down by two points. Donovan calmly brought the ball across court and stepped up to launch a long 3-pointer that banked in to put the Crusader\'s on top by one with only 11 seconds left in the game! This 3-pointer proved to be the game winner as the clock ran down and McCallie failed to score. |

Game Summary: We thought Silverdale was tough! The McCallie (all 6th grade team) gave the Crusaders all they wanted Monday night with a thrilling tight game. The lead changed hands throughout the night and emotions ran high for both teams as every player gave his all. Every play and every basket proved to be important as the result of the game was determined by only 1 point! Hats off to our Elementary boys as they engineered a great victory against a tallented McCallie ball club! Temple's Elementary Boy's team improves to 8 and 0 for the season. |

Game Summary: Silverdale was undefeated coming into tonight's game and proved to be our toughest opponent to date. The Crusaders were down for the most part of the 1st quarter; but the team rallied together, maintained their composure and began to play Temple basketball! Through unselfish play and smart distribution of the ball, our team slowly began to pull away late in the second quarter. The final score may seem one-sided, but it took an all out effort of each player that stepped onto the court in order to pull off the victory. Go Crusaders! |
