The Crusaders closed out the 2006-2007 regular season with a win over their cross-town rival Grace Academy on Friday night. The Cruasaders were behind 11-10 after the first quarter, but went on a 21-0 run to end the half and lead 31-10. The Crusaders never looked back from there on and defeated the Golden Eagles in front of a packed house by a score of 61-37. The Crusaders had four players in double-figures led by Jeremy Sexton with 23 points and Seth Skogen with 14 points. The Crusaders will begin the District tournament at Copper Basin on Saturday February 17th. The boys will play at 4:30 against the winner of the Copper Basin/Silverdale Baptist game.

The Crusaders got a good victory on the road against Christian Heritage in Dalton on Friday night. The Crusaders used an offensive outburst to defeat the Lions by a score of 92-59. Seth Skogen led all scorers with 28 points while the other four starters for the Crusaders were also in double figures. Christian Heritage was led by Tyler Wadkins with 33 points. The Crusaders will play again this Friday night at Vance Gym. This will be the Homecoming game so everyone is encouraged to attend this game versus Chattanooga Arts & Sciences.

The Crusaders got another good district win on the road Tuesday night against Silverdale Academy. The Crusaders won 58-33. Seth Skogen led the way with 19 points. The Crusaders played very well defensively, forcing several turnovers by the Seahawks. The Crusaders will travel to Dalton on Friday night to play Christian Heritage.

The Crusaders traveled to Pickett County on Saturday and suffered their third loss of the season by a score of 68-58. The Crusaders got off to a slow start falling behind early in the game but they fought back to tie the score at halftime. The second half was a tale of two quarters, the Crusaders led by as many as 7 in the 3rd quarter, but ended up losing the game by 10 points. Jeremy Sexton led all scorers with 18 points, playing a very solid game for the Crusaders.

The Crusaders made the long trip up to Copper Basin and won a district game on Tuesday night. The Crusaders jumped out to an early lead and they never looked back the rest of the night. The Crusaders led 31-13 at halftime and finished the game off in the second half winning 75-25. All of the Crusaders saw significant minutes Tuesday night. Seth Skogen led the Crusaders in scoring. Temple will be in action again on Friday night at Lookout Valley.

This is without a doubt the biggest game of the year for the Crusaders and they didn't disappoint Friday night at Vance Gym. The Crusaders started the game very fast and they never let up. Temple used there pressure defense to cause several Grace turnovers which led to easy buckets for the Crusaders. Seth Skogen put on a shooting exhibition connecting on six 3-pointers on his way to a 30 point performance. Dee Newson did a great job of running the team as he had 20 points and 8 assists. The Crusaders played before a packed house on Friday night and the "Crusader Nation" was awesome. The Crusaders won 81-41 and do not play again until Tuesday, January 16 at Copper Basin.

The Temple Crusaders traveled down to Dalton,Georgia this past week for a three game classic against 4A and 5A schools from Georgia. Many thought that the Crusaders would be overmatched by these large schools but the Crusaders proved the doubters wrong by winning all 3 games they played. On the first day Temple defeated Northwest Whitfield by 30 points. The Crusaders were balanced in scoring with 4 players scoring in double figures. The next night the Crusaders played Dalton and this game proved to be a very exciting contest. The Crusaders rallied from behind to win by a close game 69-61. Seth Skogen led the Crusaders with 30 points, also scoring in double figures were Dee Newson, Josh Smith, and Jeremy Sexton. On the final day of the Classic the Crusaders defeated Murray County 68-61. This was another close game and the Crusaders responded extremely well after playing their third game in four days. This was a great experience for the guys as they pushed their record to 12-0 for the season. The Crusaders will next be in action again on January 2nd at home against Van Buren County.

The Crusaders got another big District win Tuesday night against Copper Basin. The Crusaders were able to use there speed and defense to run away to a 69-37 win. Seth Skogen led all scorers with 20 points. All of the Crusaders saw quality minutes and played well. The Crusaders will be traveling to Elizabethton, Tennessee on Friday for a two day Classic at Unaka High School. They will play Unaka Friday night at 8:00 and Saturday they will play Cloudland High School at 3:00. Good luck to the Crusaders! .

Temple got off to somewhat of a slow start Friday night only leading by 2 at the end of the 1st quarter. From there on, Temple totally dominated the game. Temple used there transition game to pull away from the Patriots. Temple led by 16 at halftime and never looked back. Every member of the Crusader team played Friday night and they all did a great job. Temple had 4 players who scored in double figures. Seth Skogen had 29 points, Dee Newson 17 points, Josh Smith 14 points, and Jeremy Sexton 13 points. The Crusaders will be in action again Tuesday night in a District game against Copper Basin in Vance Gym.

The Temple Crusaders continued their hot start Tuesday night at Vance Gym as they defeated the visiting Lookout Valley Yellow Jackets 79-37. This marked the 4th consecutive win for the Crusaders. Temple got off to an early start scoring the first 10 points of the game and leading 25-4 at the end of the first quarter. Temple relied on their pressure defense and fast break in the first half to jump out to a 50-11 lead. From there the Crusaders mainly played their second unit as the game was well in hand. Every player that dressed out for the Crusaders played significant minutes. The leading scorer for the Crusaders was sophomore Brandon Andrews, who scored 18 points including three 3-pointers. Seth Skogen was next scoring 17 points. The Crusaders will travel just a couple of miles away Friday to play region foe Chattanooga School for Arts and Sciences. This will be a very tough game and we encourage everyone to come out and support the Crusaders on Friday.
