Coach Chastain is a graduate of LFO High School where he played football. He attended West Georgia College and played football in 1987. Then transferred and played at UTC 1989-1990. He was invited to tryout camp for the Tampa Bay Outlaws of the PSFL. Coach Chastain begins his first year coaching at Temple with the task of making the defense as good as the offense which will produce championships. He coached the wide receivers the last two years at Southeast Whitfield High School in Dalton, GA. Under Head Coach Chip Kell, Coach Chastain has also been a Baptist Pastor the last ten years. Our defensive slogan this year is, “Crusader Black Shirt Defense . . . . A New “D”ay in Temple Football.” Coach Chastain’s life verse is Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
